Gibson 2008 Les Paul 1960 Classic Honeyburst Electric Guitar
A classic 60s-style Les Paul Standard, now with even more vintage appeal
The Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble delivers all of the features and performance of our regular Les Paul™ Standard 60s models but with even more vintage appeal. These limited-run Les Paul models differ from our standard Les Paul Standard 60s models. The finish colors are “Vintage” variations on our standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. Our standard gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes represent the finishes on brand-new models from the 1950s, while the full-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer Vintage finishes on the Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble models are slightly faded when compared to the standard versions, like the subtly faded light vintage aging that occurs over several years. The burst patterns vary somewhat from guitar to guitar since each is individually hand-sprayed.
Of course, all of the standard features that make the Les Paul Standard 60s models so widely loved are all still here, including a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple top and a SlimTaper™ profile mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays. The Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble is equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with Kidney buttons, and gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors and dial pointers, act fast and get your favorite now while you still can!

This guitar is equipped with Gibson Burstbucker 1 pickups
On the shop floor of the original Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the earliest Gibson Patent Applied For humbuckers were wound using imprecise machines, resulting in pickups with varying degrees of output and tone. The Burstbucker™ line of pickups represents Gibson's drive to recapture the magic of the original Patent Applied For humbucker™ pickups. First introduced in the early 1990s, the Gibson Burstbucker — Types 1, 2, and 3 — successfully captured the subtle variations of true, classic humbucker tone with historically unbalanced coil windings and Alnico 2 magnets. They produce an airy, full tone, and when overdriven, they achieve a magical distortion with the slightly enhanced highs that made the originals famous.
Burstbucker™ Type 1 features a lower output, excellent for the neck position. Burstbucker Type 2 features medium output and is perfect for any position. Burstbucker Type 3 is overwound and hot, which is typically ideal for the bridge position. None of the Burstbuckers are wax potted, and all feature vintage braided two-conductor wiring.
