This I believe is a late 1967 or early 68 Silverface Dual Showman in good to very good condition. All transformers and the circuit which is the same as an earlier blackface circuit, are original. Recent maintenence with new power caps, electrolytics and screen and grid resisters have been replaced on this amp. The power tubes are JJ's. It sounds great!! It has what I would describe as a very 3 D sound which is to say that it has a tremendous amount of richness and fullness to it. These amps take pedals very well and can be exceptionally clean at high volumes. This particular Showman is not super earth shaking loud which is not unusual for Showmans (some Showmans like Twin Reverbs are earth shaking loud). But it has that distinctive Fender clean tone which again is very rich and full with great highs mids and lows. This head pairs up with a variety of heads and is set up for a 4 ohm load (hence it being a "Dual" Showman) but you can also pair it with one 12" 8 ohm speaker (or two speakers that come to an 8 ohm load) and it sounds great that way as well.
