Finding the best set could be an adventure. I am particularly partial to the new hi-tech wheels used on premium service industry carts and tables. expense- moderately, but appealing, and efficient- easy to move.
Made in Italy somewhere in the mid-60's this cart, in it's day, was considered high art and sold for some huge extravagant money. This striking red cart in original paint, could use a fresh top coat of maybe a candy chrome purple-?
A serving caddy is included, shown hanging upside down from the top. It actually sticks up to hold bottles and things.
It could be used as a plant stand, or just decorative, but I feel it is in great shape for being over 50 years old and even more. Look at the photos. The only similar item I could find anywhere was listed at $500! The last image is an advertisement.
The cart is also very light weight unlike an original Brown-Jordan double glass serving cart with original glass. I will post some photos of that as well. It is also available at $250.00 . Glass is tricky. Great care must be emphasized. This stuff can shatter in a million pieced easily if miss-handled
I also have a few round low cocktail tables. Great appearance in a replacement grey primer, after through cleaning. Also B-Jordan. I have three available, 23" dia, original glass- comes out easy so always be extremely careful. Glass is difficult to replace. will post photos.
Also I have an extensive set of original B-J deck/pool chairs, all need re-strapping, but would clean up easily. some old hardware- screws and nuts could be swapped out for SS, I did buy some already- or anodized. I have had these for a few year and never got the nerve up to try to re-strap them. Why bother? Who wants strap chairs any more? Mid Century as well but in need of a 21st Century kick in the ass. What's cool? What is not cool?
