Legendary George Kaye designed hybrid power amp
Tube-frontend (2 x 6DJ8 and 2 x 6FQ7) with a MOSFET solid state backend delivering:
150 w/c @ 8 ohms
300 w/c @ 4 ohms
An economical way to drive inefficient speakers such as Magnepans (Magneplaners).
It was fully refurbished by Ben Hase (Novalux Stereophonic and SkyFi Audio) within the last month. The main filter capacitor and all electrolytic caps were replaced and some trace repair work was done. He gave it a clean bill of health. “Both channels clean to 150W - amp sounds really nice”.
Comes with a set of newly installed NOS Amperex 6DJ8 tubes.
The existing set of GE 6FQ7 tubes tested above new old stock specs.
In overall very good cosmetic shape with only a couple of very minor scratches (9/10)
The Moscode 300 provides a massive holographic soundstage with tube warmth.
Comes with an extra set of Westinghouse 6DJ8 tubes testing "strong" 120%/110% and 105%/105% on Sencore TC-136 tester
