1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula WS6, 350ci. (5.7L) 9.2:1cr 240hp. 330ft. V8 TPI L98
TH700-R4 4-speed automatic, BW 9-bolt limited slip rear axle with 3.27 gears and four wheel disc brakes.
As you can see, it has some damage. It's been hit twice. Most of the clearcoat is gone. I do have a replacement driver side fender with better paint(same red). The lexan t-tops need to be replaced. They have the big locking pins(89-92). I have
glass t-tops from a camaro, but they are the small locking pins(pre 89). You could sell the camaro glass t-tops to get new replacement glass ones from Melrosetops.com. The Southside Machine weld-in subframe connectors can be cut out, if wanted on another car.
The rest of the parts can easily be swapped/installed to another car. I have new headlight motors, rear main seal, and greaseable door hinges. The trailing arms are welded/reinforced with 1/4 inch flat bar. KYB GR2 shocks and struts, Earl's braided stainless steel brake hoses, CONI-SEAL and Raybestos rubber brake hoses, Prothane urethane torque arm and a-arm bushings. A new set of front rotors and Timken bearings. B.F. Goodrich G-Force Sport tires.
It's a 350 TPI with a few mods for better breathing(K&N air filter, MAF screens cut out, an airfoil and ported plenum). There is a fuel pressure gauge mounted on the fuel rail. Accel 8.8 spark plug wires and u-groove spark plugs. A 180 deg thermostat and a Hypertech early fan turn on switch. I'm pretty sure I have a few Purolator oil fiters too.
The transmission is a 700-R4 rebuilt at about 94k miles. Shortly after, a B&M Transpak, Trick Shift fluid and a TCI cast aluminum deep pan were installed. It needs the accumulator spacers replaced(parts used in the B&M Transpak). A B&M fluidcooler 70264 and an Autometer trans temp gauge.
