Amana Electric Dryer. Model NED 4655EW1 Ser. # MA 1559482.
We bought washer & Dryer from original owner. Worked well when tested at the owners house.
We needed it in our basement and had to remove the door to get it down the tight stairway.
Here is where I screwed up. I FORGOT that we needed a gas fired unit and this one is electric. We did not have the 220 outlet for it so for us....it is unusable.
To make matters worse when re-installing the door I stripped out one the 4 screws holding the door in place. I re installed the first 3 screws and messed up the last one.
We paid 450 for the 2 units ....so my loss is your gain if you have the skills to put in re-thread the one missing screw.
Bring a helper to move it....its too heavy for me [and the wife refuses to help!]
