If you have prior honorable military service and would like a part time job, you can join the Army National Guard. You may now join even if you have a RE code other than 1 or 1A. You do not have to go back to basic training. The age limit is 42. Add the years of prior service to 42 to find your limit. You must meet the weight requirements and pass a physical so you have to be in good physical shape.
If you do not have prior military service, you can still join. Basic training is nine weeks so you have to be prepared to be gone that long.
